the QD Vision Quantum Light Optic product line which utilize Quantum Dots to efficiently condition
LED white light. In this position, the product engineer will be responsible for designing,
implementing, analyzing, and documenting product design and sensitivity studies. These studies
can range for formulation optimization DOEs to product lifetime studies. The position is a hands-on
laboratory position in both a formulation/chemistry laboratory and an optical measurement laboratory.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product development; taking products from concept
through pilot scale manufacturing in a start-up environment.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is required with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• MS in an Engineering discipline desired with at least 5 years relevant experience. We are less
concerned about the level of education, and more concerned about a demonstrated ability in product development,
product engineering, and/or lifetime testing.
Requirements
• Track record of successful chemistry/formulation based product development and/or product engineering.
• Experience in optimizing polymer matrix formulations: epoxy, acrylic, silicone, etc.
