Joe Caruso

Founder and Management Advisor

Since before the founding of QD Vision, Joe Caruso has served as mentor, advisor, coach and advocate for the QD Vision team. For the last 15 years, Joe has been a mentor, coach, and personal advisor to CEO's and entrepreneurs dealing with issues of strategy, leadership, team building, venture capital, joint ventures, deal structure, exit strategies, and matters of personal growth. In recent years, he has been an investor and active director with numerous companies, both public and private. Joe has served as interim CEO for companies in need of strategic change; has been a personal advisor to numerous company presidents; has initiated and negotiated to successful conclusion scores of financial transactions; and has served as mediator in resolving intense conflict situations.

Joe is a Director and active investor in Boston MicroMachines, Metrisa, MicroE Systems, and TimeBlaster. He is a principal in Walnut Venture Associates, a member of CommonAngels, and a Managing Partner of Brookwood Partners, all investment groups for early stage companies.
