QD Vision, Inc. is a nanomaterials product company delivering advanced display and lighting solutions that provide unparalleled color and cost savings. The company is focused on improving the color quality of TVs and other displays and has spent years developing its Color IQTM technology to deliver color performance that achieves 100 percent of the NTSC standard.

QD Vision's Color IQ™ product line harnesses the unique light-emitting properties of a new class of nanomaterials called quantum dots. 

The company’s advanced materials and components are used to illuminate a broad range of applications, including flat panel displays, solid state lighting systems, and defense and security projects.

QD Vision is leveraging a rich set of intellectual assets, including an expanding base of patents originating at MIT and QD Vision. To date, 39 patents have been issued, while more than 200 are pending. The company boasts a world-class technology team that has advanced the work done by co-founders and QD Vision scientific advisors, MIT professors Vladimir Bulovic and Moungi Bawendi, who is considered the father of quantum dot technology. 

QD Vision's commercial and technology team is complemented by a proven leadership group whose members have deep experience in advanced materials, displays and lighting at major corporations and influential new ventures, including Corning, DuPont, Rohm and Haas, GTE/Sylvania, Cabot, E Ink and Color Kinetics.

QD Vision has received numerous accolades, including the Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award, the New England Clean Energy Council’s Emerging Company of the Year, and the AlwaysON Cleantech and Public Sector awards. The company also won a silver Edison Award for best new product.

The company has raised more than $75 million in financing from top-tier venture capital firms North Bridge Venture Partners, Highland Capital Partners, DTE Energy Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Passport Capital, Novus Energy Partners, and Capricorn Investment Group.

QD Vision has leveraged its technology leadership position to establish design-in relationships with leading global companies in the display and solid state lighting industries, as well as with multiple government agencies and prime contractors.
